Strength or Physical Attack? Intelligence, or Wisdom? Choosing which stats to focus on isn’t as straight forward as it may seem. I’ll be breaking down each class, what their stat bonuses are, and make recommendations as to which stats to aim for transmute wise.

Secondary Stats
The secondary stats in runes of magic are as follows:

Physical Attack
Physical Accuracy
Physical Dodge Rate
Physical Defense
Magical Attack
Magical Accuracy
Magical Defense
Cure Power (aka Healing bonus)
Hit Points
Mana Points

The tables below list how much 1 point in a Primary stat will affect your secondary stats. As an example, 1 point in Strength will give a Warrior + 2 Physical attack and +.2 Hitpoints. a +30 Strength item will give a warrior +60 Physical attack and +6 Hitpoints (Health).

Warrior

Warriors receive their best Attack bonus from their Strength stat. Stamina should be chosen as their secondary for the Physical Defense, Hitpoints and Hitpoint regeneration bonus. When judging whether to use a +Physical Attack attribute over a + Strength stat, divide the +Physical Attack amount by 2. If this value is greater than the potential Strength bonus, then go with the +Physical attack, as the 0.2 Hitpoint bonus from strength is negligible.

Scout

Unlike the other classes, Scout does not see a huge bonus to attack power from Strength or Dexterity. In order to maximize DPS, a scout will want to make +Physical Attack power their primary stat, followed by +Dexterity then +Stamina.

Rogue

Rogue benefits most from +Deterity items, though like the scout, their bonus is minimal. In many cases, secondary stats to focus on will be a tie between +Strength and +Physical attack. +Stamina is always a solid third stat choice.

Mana Based classes

Mana based classes work a bit different in regards to Stat priority. Prior to level 35, you'll find that you run out of mana quite a bit, especially as a Mage. I've found that stacking +Wisdom items to be a tremendous help in keeping my mana pool from running dry during the early levels. Typically look to add Wisdom, Spirit and either Stamina or Physique to a few items to help at the lower levels.

Mage

In order to maximize damage output, +Intelligence. +Intelligence provides both +Magical Attack as well as +Mana Points. Stamina and Wisdom are also useful stats to have here. As you find yourself no longer running out of mana, consider dropping Wisdom and going with straight Intelligence and Stamina.

Priest

+Wisdom will benefit you from a healing and defensive standpoint. +Intelligence will increase your Magical Attack, but your priority should remain with +Wisdom and +Stamina.

Knight

Knights should focus first on +Stamina, then +Wisdom for the increased mana pool size and defense. Special attention should be paid when choosing between +Strength and +Physical Attack power items, as in many cases the +Physical Attack will be more beneficial than an equal level +Strength.

Warden

With a low Physical Attack modifier from +Strength items, Wardens will want to carefully consider going with +Physical attack items instead. More information on the warden will be added at a later time as I'm not too famillar with them currently.

Very well written Ob.  Thank you for taking the time to prepare the guide.

I would like to add just a couple of words regarding druids.  The guides I have read generally place druids into an all healing class or a hybrid mage class.  For those druids focused mainly on healing, such as D/S, focus on wisdom for the increased heal rate.  D/M classes are recommended to stat as a mage for increased damage output, this would focus mainly on int stats.  However, the D/M should keep a healthy dose of stamina and wisdom in the rune and stat mix as well.  These recommendations base the character as a druid primary.
